Project Overview:
What began as a repair-driven project evolved into a thoughtfully designed master bathroom that supports aging in place without compromising aesthetics.
Understanding the Client & Existing Conditions:
Water damage between the shower and jacuzzi tub required the wall to be fully opened for assessment and repair. The clients used this opportunity to rethink the space for long-term comfort and accessibility.
Design Process & Planning:
Through a collaborative design process, we explored layout changes, accessibility improvements, and material options that balanced function, beauty, and durability while maintaining budget clarity.
Renovation Solution:
The bathroom was reconfigured to include a no-threshold shower and tub area with handheld plumbing accessories. A dated L-shaped vanity was replaced with a streamlined double-sink vanity along one wall, improving circulation and openness.
Design Details & Features:
• Two custom-sized shower niches
• Floor-standing tub filler
• Custom glass shower panel
• Refined water closet with wall-mounted sconce
Closing:
This renovation demonstrates how thoughtful design can transform necessary repairs into spaces that support how our clients plan to live now and for years to come.
